Combining the best of sea and spice, Capella Bangkok bounced back onto the culinary scene with a new Seafood Lunch at their riverfront Thai restaurant Phra Nakhon, which highlights some of Thailand’s most beloved Thai dishes which uses top quality produce.
The Phra Nakhon all-you-can eat a la carte, live cooking stations and carvery lunch features Western dishes with a premium makeover or with Thai twists, like the Wagyu Beef Prime Rib A5 and Lamb Rack carvery station or the cooked-to-order Seared foie gras with pomelo salad, lime and fresh herbs.
What may attract you at first is their chilled Seafood Platter with lobsters, Fine de Claire oysters,giant prawns, and king crabs but what will likely make you return is all the excellent Thai dishes on offer and at unlimited servings, made fresh to order. The live Som Tum station seemed to be one of the most popular among the local Thais.
Who can beat an amazing view without a refreshment to wash it down. The Mocktails at Phra Nakhon are truly excellent, more notably the Mango Sticky Rice Lemonade and Sweet Tamarind Iced Tea which are both enjoyably balanced and not overly sweet- thankfully, but keep note, they will change up the offer from time to time.
Most exciting was to hear a familiar bell at the end of our main meals. The Phra Nakhon Sunday Lunch includes ice-cream sandwiches Thai style! Served from an ice cream cart and topped with exotic syrupy fruits and condiments of your choice, it’s surely the best way to complete a fantastic view and meal to match. Just listen out for the tiny bell.
What makes this experience the merrier is the prime view and luxury setting. Be sure to book in advance to secure the riverfront position, they were full on their very first day of launching.They are also pet-friendly and welcome dogs onto their patio also.
Given the menu is rather extensive you will struggle to discover it all, so be sure to bring a few lunch buffet buddies in order to sample them all but don’t forget to order an all-time foodie favourite, the Ayuthaya Goong Pao; Grilled river prawn with traditional Thai seafood sauce, dill, coriander, house pickled and betel leaves.
Starting from Sunday, 24th October 2021, Phra Nakhon’s Seafood Lunch will be available every other week from 12.00 pm to 3.00 pm.

Child (12 years and under): THB 1,170.- net per person
Free flow non-alcoholic beverage: THB 1,000.- net per person
Free-flow mocktail will be priced at THB 588.50 net per person
