Kimpton Maa-Lai Bangkok and the U.S. Embassy will showcase three classic LGBTQI+ films on June 24.
Kimpton Maa-Lai Bangkok, along with the U.S. Embassy Bangkok, are showcasing some classic LGBTQI+ films this year as part of an exclusive screening and showcase. The event will be reservation only, and be enforced with social distancing in accordance with the rules and regulations of the latest BMA announcements, under the patronage of the U.S. Embassy Bangkok.
The private screenings will showcase three films that have been part of the LGBTQI+ movement, and take place on Thursday, June 24 at Stock.Room, 5th floor at Kimpton Maa-Lai Bangkok, from 4pm onward.
- “Pariah” from 5pm-6:30pm
- “My Own Private Idaho” from 7pm-8:45pm
- “Call Me By Your Name” from 9pm-11:30pm
“The LGBTQI+ community is our family. Kimpton Maa-Lai Bangkok from the very beginning has celebrated diversity and inclusion, but more than this: We celebrate being yourself,” said Patrick Both, General Manager of the Kimpton Maa-Lai Bangkok. “This film festival is something that we hope can become bigger each year as the situation (pandemic) improves. PRIDE is a celebration of rights, equality and life, and at the hotel we want to wave that rainbow flag for all to see.”
The film festival has a complimentary entrance fee, and Kimpton Maa-Lai Bangkok will have signature food and (soft) beverages available to purchase on site during the screening.
