The first group show by the Artists in Residence (AIR) at River City Bangkok kicks off Wednesday and runs until August 31.
“Something in the Air,” which opens Wednesday, features works from seven studios located in AIR, an area dedicated to artists in residence on the 3rd floor of River City Bangkok. For four months, the artists have dedicated themselves to creating works inspired by the air using different interpretations and styles. They share a mutual belief that art is like the air surrounding us: It sustains our lives. AIR encapsulates a concept—CREATE, LEARN, TEACH, SHARE—and it is a space where artists create, interact with art lovers and sell their works.
The seven studios include:
956 Contemporary Art
Gallery HOC
IMAGINE GALLERY
J02 Gallery
J7 GALLERY AND STUDIO
Torch Ginger Gallery
Young Wolf Art Gallery
“Something in the Air” is the first group exhibition of AIR artists. It is inspired by these ideas: Something is all around us but we can’t see it. It’s something we can’t live without for more than a few minutes… something both refreshing and polluting: It is the air we breathe.
On view at RCB Galleria 2, 2nd floor of River City Bangkok. Open from July 7 until August 31. Limited to 20 visitors at one time in response to COVID-19 restrictions.
