Capella Bangkok presents a collaboration of Southern Thai cuisine between Phra Nakhon’s own Chef De Cuisine – Chef Kannika Jitsangworn and acclaimed chef Chef Sujira “Aom” Pongmorn, who is renowned for her sensational Southern Thai cooking at Yoong Khao Hom.

Hosted at the riverside Thai dining room of Capella Bangkok, guests are invited to explore the vibrant flavors and diverse dishes inspired by the southern Thai coast.

On Wednesday, June 21st, and Thursday, June 22nd, 2023, Phra Nakhon, Capella Bangkok will set the stage for foodies who adore Southern Thai cuisine or are simply curious to dabble in the Chefs’ fiery forte.

Chef Kannika Jitsangworn and Chef Sujira “Aom” Pongmorn will showcase the tantalizing flavors of southern Thai cuisine, drawing inspiration from the region’s culinary traditions and abundant local ingredients.

From Nakhon Si Thammarat to Phuket and Pattani, this exotic region offers a diverse array of gastronomic delights. The chefs have painstakingly sourced an array of authentic southern Thai indigenous ingredients from local small-scale farmers and fisherfolk to ensure foodies get the full Southern experience.

Indulge in a range of creations that celebrate the flavors of southern Thailand. Sample the Hoo Chae, a Phuketian salad boasting a delicate balance of sweetness, sourness, and spiciness, accompanied by a tantalizing tamarind juice and bean paste dressing.

Or relish the Khao Yum Kratong Thong, a Nakhon Si Thammarat-style salad served in crispy golden shells.

For the main course, savor the Khai Baytong Go-Lae, a Southern Thai Muslim-style grilled chicken featuring a delectable sauce with spicy and sweet undertones.

Alternatively, try the classic Gaeng Kua Pla Nam Dok Mai, a line-caught barracuda served in yellow curry with potato and pak lin harn, a local herb indigenous to the southern Thai villages.

End your culinary adventure on a sweet note with desserts that highlight the region’s sweeter side. Get sweet and tart with the O-aew (Phuketian aiyu jelly) served with pickled santol or savor the champadak cake, a southern Thai jackfruit delight.

This exclusive Phra Nakhon X Yoong Khao Hom Southern Thai feast will be available on Wednesday, June 21st, for dinner (18.00-22.00) and Thursday, June 22nd, 2023, for lunch (12.00-15.00), priced at THB 2,900++ per person.
